An American came to Nigeria for a tour. He has a Nigerian friend who took him around the country. The American was very inquisitive. When they went to a place in Fulani, he saw some men carrying single sticks at the back of their necks and jumping up and down. “What is this?” the American questioned. “Nigerian dancing ways”, his friend answered. They later went to a local restaurant in one village in Abuja. The American saw some people eating “eba”, “fufu”, “tuwo” and “ewedu”. He was astonished to see them forming balls with the food and swallowing them. He asked his friend, “what is the meaning of all these?” “Nigerian eating ways” replied his friend. Suddenly, one fat man who was eating “ewedu” farted. The sound of the gas was immediately accompanied by the pungent odour. The American took to his heels and his friend ran after him. “Now, what can you call this one?” the American inquired. “Nigerian Air Ways”, his friend jokingly replied.
