Lenovo announced a new Windows 8.1 tablet to its lineup with the Miix2, an 8-inch device that comes with an optional cover and a stylus. The successor to the Lenovo Miix, the Mixx2 will ship with Windows 8.1 on board, with all that entails, and it boasts some impressive specs, too.

The device rocks a quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T with integrated Intel HD graphics (Gen7) with a 10-point multitouch (1280x800) IPS display, and it includes up to 128GB of eMMC storage (with a microSD slot for another 32GB), 2GB of LP-DDR3 memory, and 2MP front and 5MP rear cameras.







For connectivity, the Miix2 features 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 3G-GPS3, and Bluetooth 4.0, and battery life is listed as 7 hours. It comes loaded with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, which is a nice bonus, and the optional cover doubles as a stand.

The Lenovo Miix2 costs just $299 (32GB version) or $349 (64GB version), and the cover with the stylus is only another $20.

A very good product. however i will choose the surface 2 or surface pro 2 over this


This product, like any other microsoft based product will fail with regards to sales because of

poor marketing. Most customers out there are not geeks and so do not know the true value of

a product unless they are well educated. This is something that Apple corp has going for them.


As a matter of fact, I read on the news yesterday that Apple`s CEO Tim Cook has hired Burberry`s

chief executive to further boost their marketing and retail powers.

Microsoft and its partners should start hiring the right people, else they can produce the best gadgets

but no one will hear of it.

That's true. marketing plays a huge part in the tech world today.

If products like this get the right publicity, we might see windows taking over tablets like it has taken over PCs.

android's openness isn't such a strong point (like everyone is quick to point out) else ipads won't be dominant. Windows 8.1 shows great promise.

Also I think the surface lineup are more of notebook replacements while this could pose as an "ipad killer"

Yeah dis device is actually worth its cost,1st time seeing lenovo coming out of their shell.intel base tab,thats gotta be a beast,bt d resolution?? Hmmm,anyway am really impressed with lenovo,they also planning to buy HTC to get a larger share of the smartfone market.#press talks#.my only problem is why isnt htc as diverse and should i say versatile in their production.they shouldnt have only focused on smartfones most,they should also move into electronics or other thing,that would have helped their low income production rate.becos the smartfone market is now over competitive..with many standard companies,like xiaomi,oppo and zte .they should try think within their region.

heard a rumour they're(htc) about to be bought by Lenovo.
The price of this device though. impressive

the price will be between 45,000 and 55,000 Naira $300-$350 for Leveno Dell Toshiba Asus and HP 8inches Tablet for windows 8.1 with Intel Bay Trail-T processor that can last 7hrs
Watch out for Slot and Jumia to be the first to bring it to Nigeria as from November 2013

Actually it has a higher pixel density than the ipad mini at about the same screen size
