Sharing an Internet connection at a high internet speed can be accomplished in several ways by using various types of Internet connections. The most common form of Internet connections are via wireless connection (Wi-Fi), a cable modem, DSL modem or dial-up.

Any of these Internet connections can be shared with other computers that are part of your network, as long as you have a host computer through which all of the initial connection setup was performed.


Setting up an Internet connection also varies depending on your operating system. The most common operating systems are Windows and Mac OS X. But we will only be dealing with Windows operating System.

The tutorial assumes that you have some general familiarity with computer networking, web browsers such as Internet Explorer and familiar with Windows peer to peer networking specifically. If you don't, you can Google some research concerning this.
