Following the court judgment recognizing the leadership of the National Chairman of the Ruling party PDP as against the Abubakar Baraje faction of the party, a delegation of PDP members from Kwara state have disowned the Abubakar Baraje faction of the party and thrown their support behind the Bamanga Tukur-led National Working Committee.
The leader of the delegation, Alhaji Lateef Alada, said it was time for the party faithfuls in the state to speak out that they are solidly behind the present leadership.
In reaction, the National Chairman of the party, Bamanga Tukur thanked the delegation for restating their staunch support for his leadership, and that the party is the toast of most Nigerians, while his leadership will continue to work to reform the party.

It will be recalled that the aggrieved governors and some key members of the party which broke away during the special national convention in Abuja, stated that the national chairman has not been fair in his leadership of the party, basing it as one of the reasons behind their action to break away and contest the leadership of the party.
