For now, the first and the only accredited music institute in Nigeria is Lani Stephens Music Institute, Jos. Since 1960s after independence till recently, the study of music had existed only as Departments in tertiary institutions but Lani Stephens is the first and the only accredited tertiary institution devoted to musicological studies in nigeria just as NVRI Vom is devoted to veterinary studies. I'm not sure of details but I know LSMI offers courses in Sound Engineering, Musical Arts Education, Perfomance Study, Church Music and etc Check their website: www.lanistephens.org You can also find them in the JAMB brochure
