for the time it has already taken for this I dont think a compromise will be reached by any of the parties. First for ASUU to have reached this period and yet are bent on FG meeting up with their demands means they are not going to compromise if they fell short of just one demand on the other hand, since mrs. okonjo-iweala is in this meeting she will never allow the fg team to go ahead and approve the ASUU demands even when the others may have agreed to do so. This may not be unconnected to her swearing that fg meeting ASUU's demand is like rubbishing Nigerias economic emancipation dreams. Well I dont blame her because she has never been poor, so all her macro economic theories are just reeling out numbers and perbentages showing that the country's economy is improving yet people are suffering the more, and I ask what is the use of the + + figures when the people are still suffering the more, besides she schooled in an ivy league university, same as her children even her grandchildren are all abroad, so tell me fellow Nigerians how passionate will she be to see nigerian students and their lecturers go back to a nigerian classroom. Well I dont blame her after all of them in that room don't have their children in a Nigerian Universities. |
