Obi Government Indebted Anambra To Boko Haram Bank - Ngige by bushwailo: 3:35pm On Nov 05, 2013 |
Anambra State Government Indebted To Islamic Bank–Ngige The Anambra State gubernatorial debate became more revealing last Thursday, when the moderator threw a question to the contestants that Anambra State is alleged to be owing foreign loans. The APC candidate, Dr. Chris Ngige informed the audience that he brought the donor agencies like UNICEF, UNDP by paying the counter-part funding. Ngige also said that he took no foreign loan during his 33 months in office as Governor. Ngige, said that APGA government has taken huge loan from Jaize Bank, a Muslim Bank. Meanwhile, APGA candidate, Mr. Willie Obiano submitted on the issue that the donor agencies left the State eight years ago and boasted that he is the only person who could get loan from the World Bank, a statement that generated laughter from the audience. However, a civil servant, Jonas Okeke who was at the venue of the debate – Women Development Centre, lamented the shallowness of some of the candidates to the issues, whom he said dodged the questions, while some proffered solutions are apparently utopian. His judgment is that apart from few candidates, some of the candidates are really not in grasp of the problems and solutions of Anambra. |
