The cost of an apartment varies depending on the location:

@ Calabar Municipality ( Marian, MCC, State Housing Estate etc), A Self Contained room cost 150,000naira per anum to 200,000naira per anum.


NOTE: Accomodation problems usually encountered by corpers in Calabar Municipality is the issue of having to pay an immediate upfront payment for 2 years OR an upfront payment for 1 year and 6 months rent as demanded by most property owners. I.e 150k X 2years rent OR 150k X 1 year and 6months rent.


@ Calabar South, a self contained room goes for between 90,000naira to as much 140,000naira per anum.

NOTE: The issue of paying an immediate upfront payment for 2 years rent OR 1 year and 6 months rent is not really common here though it exists.
