My fellow nairalanders, has anyone else received this 1G internet data from MTN?

Just some few minutes ago I receive an SMS from MTN which goes like dis:
"Yello Surpeise! You have received FREE 1G data to browse all your favourite internet sites. Free data expires 11th Nov, 2013. To view bonus, dial *559*4#."
And I dial d code & saw 1005MB as my data balance.

I was really overwhelmed but suprisingly my MTN Modem has refused 2 connect since then. Though it might connect later but has anyone else received d bonus and its connecting on his/her own end?

I've tried uploading a screenshot as shown on my Modem when I dialed *599*4# but it seems d size is much hence has been unable 2 come up.

I don't really know because I don't use an Andriod Phone but there's no harm in trying it with an Andriod if u've received it too. For now am mostly concern in using with my PC as I already have a data plan I use for my phone.

It's nothing new, and yes it can work on any phone. You are only eligible for such a bonus if you recharge with 750 and 1500 Naira or above on frequent basis.

I don't think its a matter of d tarrif plan u're subscribed to. As d guy above is on Zone while am on Supersaver+

I was with a friend today when he got the message, he's on the MTN pulse plan. Hopefully i'll not be left out in this Bonanza.

that's not true cos my lil bro got 1gig on his SIM and he load once in a month unlike me that load at least twice in one week and I guess it's just a random pick

Na lie, me I nefa recharge any tin moore dan N200. And I have been using it till now 800+ remained
