THE ANAMBRA VOTER HAS DECIDED ON WHO TO VOTE FOR--- EASTERN PILOT REPORT

Ndi iro anyi agaghi achi anyi; is the slogan defining the possible but assured out come of today’s Anambra governorship election which is inadvertently pitched between the top two contenders to the Awka government house, Chief Willie Obiano of Ojukwu’s All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Alhaji Ahmed Ngige of Tinubu/Buhari’s All P-Retrogressives Congress (APC) .

A pip into to the likely voting pattern shows that N
di-Anambra has long settled on who they will elect today to oversee their political affairs for the next four or more years.
The candidate of the All P-Retrogressive Congress, Alhaji Ahmed Ngige has continued to receive backlash owing to the realization by the Anambra voters that a vote for his party, APC, is suicidal. Recalling the incident in Onitsha, the commercial nerve center of West-Africa, when Alhaji Ahmed Ngige and his entourage were pelted with sachets of pure water which ominously translates to repulsion of himself, his party, APC and the anti-Igbo massage they came with.

The Anambra voter has long jettisoned money politics and innuendo gibberish-ranting oozing from the megaphones of their adversaries against their very own. They have come to know who introduced kidnaping and gangsterism in the state. They have also come to know those who romance with their ruthless assailants either in the open or in the secret. They will make no mistake in voting such “sabo” into political oblivion.

The Anambra voter knows he that abandoned all ease and embraced pain for their sake; The Anambra voter knows he that impoverished himself to buy their protection. The Anambra voter knows he that walked every battle front to assure their welfare. The Anambra voter knows he that stood when every others crunched. The Anambra voter knows he that endured 13 years of bitter exile. The Anambra voter knows he that endured 10 months of maximum security prison. The Anambra voter knows he that embraced priestly poverty for their sake. The Anambra voter knows he that continued to struggle for their survival till he breathed his last.
The Anambra voter can not afford to let ammuma na egbe igwe (lightening and thunder) Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu down. APGA is his pride and political bulwark to the betterment of Ndigbo. And so far APGA has not disappointed, Mr. Peter Obi has kept the flame burning with his scintillating purpose driven and result oriented administration.
With the 3C strategy? That is, to Continue, Complete and Commission (3Cs) all ongoing projects across various sectors in the State by Chief Willie Obiano, Anambra’s set time has indeed come.

Chief Willie Obiano a bridge builder. A banker extra ordinary, a recipient of many awards and honours extolling his roof-top pedigree, Anambra is sure to remain on safe hands. The support for Obiano is electrifying, it is incredible. Himself is stunned: “Umu nnam, I cannot thank you enough for the massive support I am receiving from you all! The massive crowd at All Saints Cathedral Ontisha was jaw dropping! Thank you for this massive vote of confidence. Let's continue this forward movement... Let's be candid, it takes more than average to move Anambra forward and I've got what it takes.......thank you all for your massive support!,” who wouldn’t be appreciative of such overwhelming support and solidarity everywhere he goes.

It was no surprise when all the major markets in Lagos closed shop to receive him and his All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) campaign train which was led by Governor Peter Obi and Chief Victor Umeh, who introduced him and his running mate, Dr. Nkem Okeke to the traders.
Speaking at different markets visited- Electrical Market, Alaba; Electronics Market, Alaba; Trade fare Market, Mile Two, ASPAMDA and Ladipo Markets – the leaders of the markets were united in saying that APGA is the party all Igbo sons and daughters should vote for as representing a unique identity for the Igbo. They also agreed that it was necessary for the Igbo to have a central body they would call theirs and would unabashedly represent their interests and aspirations.
They also commended the good work Governor Obi was doing in Anambra State and said that continuity of APGA government was a responsibility of every true Igbo man.

They were also united in condemning the deportation of 76 Igbo from Lagos and commended the APGA government, led by Governor Peter Obi for challenging the deportation, which has guaranteed that no Nigerian would henceforth be deported from his own country. “If not for what Governor Peter Obi did when the deportation war was on, it would have been bad for you and I. Dr. Chris Ngige said those deported were mad men and if Obi did not shout, one day they will deport you and I and also call us mad men,” Mr. Chijioke Okenwa, the leader of Electronics Dealers Association of Nigeria, said. Though they commended Governor Raji Fashola for apologising, they expressed surprise that Dr. Chris Ngige was still justifying the dastardly act.

In his speeches at the various markets visited, the Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh said the campaign train was overwhelmed with joy at the massive reception accorded them. He urged the people of Anambra State to vote in Dr . Willie Obiano and Dr Nkem Okeke as true representatives of the people, chosen by the people and from among them. Umeh said APGA carefully chose the candidates based on their academic and experiential pedigree.

While speaking to traders at various markets, Governor Obi, who introduced himself as one of them, called for vigilance and said they should not allow outsiders to dictate to Igbo who would govern them. He wondered what the position of non-APGA government, would have been over an issue such as deportation.
“ You all saw the position of Dr. Chris Ngige, who, in order not to annoy his masters supported deportation and even went on air to defend it, insisting that those deported were mad men. Imagine, calling our brothers and sisters mad men because he does not want to go contrary to his APC masters,” Obi said.

don't worry 'ur eyes go soon clear; d only way APGA can win is if LP decides 2 pull out. APGAs vote is alrdy divided. Ngige has more die-hard voters though their proportion might be relatively small but on d long-run they'll still form d majority. Ngige might win with a simple majority of btw 35-40%. Take dat!!
