Sources informed our correspondent that some male pupils armed with machetes and other weapons invaded the school in the morning and engaged the male students of the school in a clash which eventually culminated in the sudden closure of the school. When Saturday Tribune visited the school premises on Friday, students were spotted trooping out of the school enmasse before the official closing time with some parents rushing to the school to take home their children. Meanwhile, operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and policemen were deployed to the school to restore peace so as to prevent the development from degenerating into a complete breakdown of law and order. Some of the witnesses said four students were injured while the clash lasted, but security agencies were able to arrest two male pupils and two female pupils.
