Two Students In Court For Stealing Recharge Cards From Cripple by Fynestboi: 12:42pm On Nov 16, 2013
Mararaba – Two students, Benjamin Daniel 20, of Area 1 Masaka and Samuel Ochokwu, 23, of Abacha Road, Mararaba, on Friday appeared before a Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, Mararaba.

They are facing a two count charge of criminal conspiracy and extortion.
Prosecutor, PC Friday Adaji told the court that the matter was reported by a cripple, Iliya Sunday of 10 Baba St, Mararaba at the ‘A’ Division Police Station on Nov.2.

“On Oct. 31 at about 12 noon the accused came to Sunday’s shop where he sells mobile phone recharge cards.

“They conspired and dipped hands into his pocket and stole recharge cards of different mobile communication network worth N28, 000.

“The accused persons took to their heels before they were chased and arrested with some of the recharge cards,” Adaji said.

If convicted on the charges, the accused could spend five years in prison.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The presiding judge, Mr Albert Maga admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 each and a surety each in like sum.
Maga ordered that the surety must be a traditional title holder with landed property and must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.

He adjourned the case to Nov. 21 for hearing. (NAN)

it doesn't live after them, it lives with them. People that comes after him are innocent. Every man is judged according to his own deeds and not according to what his fore fathers did.

in as much as good parental upbringing is admonished, they are adults and they know what's good and what's bad. The presence of conscience makes every man accountable to his/her actions.

Our leaders are stealing brazenly from us today because they were not convicted and jailed at that age. If you leave these petty ones today, tomorrow they become armed, next tomorrow they are the pen robbers and chair breakers.
I support prevention as against cure.
