"It was a bright day,the sun was set already, the whole community was dead of sunshine.I needed water,so does my mum and everyone at home. The thought of its scarcity ran through my mind, going to the stream isn't the best of ideas either but surely the last resort, 'hmmm i was afraid the sun could beat a Goliath at a strike and thus its rays could bring Prof. Festus Iyayi back to planet earth, shhh'.I made bold to set out for Argungun river,Northwest of the fortress although with a pussilanimous mind, each time i remember it as a den in the noon and a tourist centre at night, hmm such an irony its geography was. I got to the steep of the river to fetch but i couldnt get the freshest of water,i kept moving, moving until i was at the mercy of my CHI,the ocean current was beseeching with great SPEED turning it into a tidal wave,my mind flipped through my geography textbks to see if there was a way out but my immediate concern was my mum,who would help comfort her?,my lil sister who craves to see me always?,my friends who would miss me in streetfootball matches?. Suddenly, i began to fight for survival in the voluminous acquatic sphere,i couldnt breathe normally,it was terrific,i held my beautiful bucket close to my chest and prayed God to comfort my beloved ones,it hurts,it hurts and suddenly it hurts no more the pain was gone, the agony was gone, behold a new sphere" Thank you Lord i said" |
