I usually scrub my face with my sponge like someone who is washing back of pot. A friend said its not good, that I should use only my soap. What do you guys advice?

Somebody also advised me that it is absurd. That either you use only soap alone or you leave it like that. I don't know whether the sponge has any effect on the melanin layer of the skin. But sometimes my face usually bleach when i often use sponge. That is my own contribution. Gracias'
