SME Consulting (Nigeria) by hrh(m): 4:43pm On Jun 14, 2006
I'm so much concerned about our small and medium scale enterprise in nigeria. They cant hire big consulting firms to give them professional help, so if you know any of them that is suffering operational set backs get in touch with me.

I can do the job of those big consulting firms for them, without much stress.

If you like contact me through this forum or you can ask questions about management or corporate management and i will be there for you. It may not cost you much after all.

Thanks for your offer, hrh.

Can you tell us about areas where one can invest in agriculture and the power sector? I'm interested in these areas but I do not have a lot of capital and I'm not an electrical engineer or agriculturist. What can I do?

Do you realise that by USA standards an SME is any corporate organistaion wiht an annual revenue of $2bn. What this really means is that all Nigerian companies (this means with the exception of multinationals) are SMEs.

QuikLinx Marketing Solutions offers consultancy services to SMEs and some larger corporations in Nigeria and has worked with over 60 SMEs since inception including Baker's World, Fairies, Crenet, IBTC, ARM,

Re: SME Consulting (Nigeria) by knzguru(m): 12:15pm On Aug 21, 2007
knowing nairalanders i should clarify that $2bn is the maximum limit of any corporation regarded as an SME in the US
Re: SME Consulting (Nigeria) by knzguru(m): 12:37pm On Aug 21, 2007
i knew i had it mixed up. just did some research again. wrong values

UK : turnover of not more than £5.6 million, a balance sheet total of not more than £2.8 million and not more than 50 employees
USA:
• 500 employees for most manufacturing and mining industries
• 100 employees for wholesale trade industries
• $6 million of annual receipts for most retail and service industries
• $28.5 million of annual receipts for most general & heavy construction industries
• $12 million of receipts for all special trade contractors
• $0.75 million of receipts for most agricultural industries

hi,
A lot of smes here need consultant to put them through but we are so use to being the manager, secretary, consultant, cleaner at the same time. This is why our productivity is nothing to talk about. we need to have first a good business plan, and sak yourself where do i want to be in the next five years.

What we have now is people jump into any business without thinking of their skill, passion that will make them excel.

I know that the price of consulting is high but try the low price one that can deliver.

cheers!

Your ad is a contradiction. You are advertising your services online, yet in your profile, you email address is hidden and your website is unlisted.

If l were a SME interested in your service, l would rethink my interest: how can you advise me on how to grow my small business when you can't even showcase your internet aptitude.

Why don't we (the consultants) just
go ahead and state it on this thread,
the challenges that SME operators face
and how to overcome them INSTEAD of
asking for one to contact you or so,

this is a forum we can all tap into eachother.
If you have business ideas also, state it here.
i'd love to learn and add to my knowledge. Tx
Re: SME Consulting (Nigeria) by Buzo1984(m): 10:32am On May 05, 2009
No probs; this is a discussion Forum so let's discuss.

The challenges that in my opinion hamper the smooth working mostly are insufficiently developed communication network. MTN or STARCOMMS although they charge you high rates they can't assure you a steady access to their network and if they do connection is not of good quality - thats what I exprienced.
Next. The NEPA is also an obstacle for doing proper buisness in Nigeria. I don't know if Nigerians wastefully use the electrical energy so that NEPA cannot provide sufficient of it.

Hey man,
I don't think is bad for a person to advertise anyway. We need to see consultant for our business and if he cant deliver get you money back.

cheers!

It amazes me how business advisers expect to be taken seriously when they hide their identity on nairaland.

hrh, I would like to know more about your expertise and experience - As I am keen to link up with fellow management and business advisers in Nigeria.

My management consultancy company, BQM CONSULTING (www.bqmconsulting.com) specialises in improving and changing SME's

Re: SME Consulting (Nigeria) by tomylee: 11:39am On May 12, 2009
The pace of economic development in any country is determined by the development of SMEs. As in the case with Nigeria a lot of challenges has inhibited the growth of SMEs ranging from finance, electricity, illiteracy, insecurity and so on. Nigeria will continue to lack behind in the areas such as economic growth and employment opportunities if the SMEs are not progressing as they are needed in contributing to the provision of job opportunities in the country.

The SME consulting firms must be commended for their work in offering a guide to the small and medium enterprises in this country. This is a move that we need and even more to turn around our economic backwardness.
Re: SME Consulting (Nigeria) by Nobody: 2:15pm On May 14, 2009
Many small and medium businesses (SME's) are the manager, director, supplier, distributor, strategic, brand, and accounting officer all at the same time.
The help of a Consultant in any of these small SME's to render professional advice will not only put the business in the right position on the market but also help such business fight competition and make massive profits.
the following are what Nirom Interactive Solutions can do for your SME and also businesses yet to start up-

Management Consultant
Businesses constantly encounter forces driving them to change. Since change means doing something new and unknown, the natural reaction is to resist it. Managers must overcome this resistance and adopt innovative and efficient management techniques to remain high performers. They must improve their personal, team, and cultural management skills if they hope to adapt themselves to a changing world.

Management consultants can greatly improve the productivity and efficiency of a company, large or small. The truth is, company leaders and managers don't always have the time to discern the root cause of problems within the organization. This is where a consultant can help.

It's never too early to hire assistance, either. As a company leader, you might think a management consultant is only necessary when problems get out of hand. This, however, isn't always the best approach. By hiring a consultant early on, you can eliminate the potential problem before it really becomes an issue. If you own or operate a small to mid-size business, proactive measures will certainly play a hand in your company's success. The best offense is a good defense, and hiring the right management consultant can save time and money by avoiding potential problems before they arise.

Nirom Interactive Solutions offer a unique "try before you buy" alternative. We will visit your office in person and provide you complimentary analysis at no obligation to you whatsoever. We will tell you what you need, give you a timeline and provide an estimated cost. . In addition to our free initial consultation, we offer extensive experience in this field that sets us apart from the rest and makes us a better choice.

Business Consultant
Demand for operational efficiency increase each year to counter the effects stagnant and delinquent customer accounts and the increasing service demands. Most businesses fail to consider overall value performance as they create new policies and procedures designed to meet the shifting needs of the market, industry or strategy. The result may be non-value added activities that create high operational inefficiencies. What do you say when people ask you how business is going? If you're satisfied with the current status of your business, but you'd like to kick it up a notch, you may benefit from hiring a business consultant. Savvy business owners agree there's always room for improvement and even streamlined businesses with high margins can tweak their processes to increase the bottom line.

Customer Relationship
At Nirom Interactive Solutions we know that customer value strategy is most effective when it is an integral component of the corporate strategy: it flows from the mission statement (what a company is now) and defines the growth path towards the vision statement (what a company wants to be).
Spanning marketing, sales and customer care, customer value strategies define how the organization will engage customers, prospects and competitors in the market arena for success.

Our other Consulting services include Corporate and Product Branding, Website Designing and Hosting.
