[b]WHAT IS A MOBILE POWER BANK?

Some might have been seeing this online, or with people but for the benefit of those who have no knowledge about it, here it goes.

Simply put, a power bank is a compact, portable rechargeable battery that can supply extra power supply for your mobile device when you are not by an electrical wall outlet. Same way your phone’s battery is rated in mAh (milliamp hours), power banks are rated in mAh. There are different power ratings, including 4400 mAh, 5200 mAh, 8000 mAh, 12000 mAh.

There are other ratings beside these. The higher the rating, the more power it can deliver to your device and the longer your device will last when connected to it. Power banks come with a USB cable for charging both ways ( charging your phone battery as well as charging the powerbank itself)

Depending on the rating, take for example, a 4400mAh mobile powerbank will charge a battery of 1000mah 3 to 4 times from low battery state to full charged depending on usage. Hence, charging life time doesn’t depend on hours but usage.

If your mobile device is switched off or mostly idle when plugged in to a power bank though, you will see stronger charging action. If you are often away from a power source for extended periods, a power bank is a valuable smartphone accessory in today’s world where batteries run out in a matter of hours. Also, always ensure to plug your used power bank to a mains socket/wall outlet to top it at every opportunity, so that it is ready for use whenever the need may arise.
