13years have passed since the inception of prophetic mission. Owing to the prosecution of the Muslim, an exodus of the muslims to Yathrib began. About 150 muslims succeeded in reaching Yathrib (now Medina) within 2months.

ATTEMPT TO ASSASSINATE THE PROPHET
When the news of how Islam has struck root and spreading fast in Yathrib reached the Chiefs of Mecca, they decided to assassinate the holy prophet (saws) after suggestions of imprisonment and banishment were rejected.
In order to avoid the vendetta of the Banu Hashim (prophet's clan), the Chiefs decided that every clan should provide a man and they should collectively assault the prophet. Now prophet's house has been besieged.
Allah through the archangel Jubril, informed His prophet of the enemy's plan and instructed him to leave Mecca for Yathrib.

TASK AHEAD ALI
The holy prophet informed Imam Ali of this divine order and asked him to sleep in his (prophet's) bed. Traditions had it Ali made prostration of thankfulness (sajda shukru) to Allah upon hearing his life was to be ransom for the prophet's.
The holy prophet covered Ali with his own green sheet.
Ali, disguised as the prophet, on the prophet's bed as the holy prophet walked out of the house under the infidel's noses reciting verses 1-8 of Sura Yasin while he threw a handful of dust over their heads. None of the enemies saw him.

PRAISE OF ALI
In praise of Ali, Allah revealed this verse:

"And amongst men there is one who sells his life seeking the pleasure of Allah. And Allah is most benevolent to His slaves"~al-Baqarah vs 207

(Ref: al-Mustadrak of al-Hakim, vol.3 p.4)

Such was the fearless nature, and total submission, of Ali, to Allah and His prophet.

The infidel later realized they had been fooled upon seeing Ali on the prophet's bed. Ali upon questioning never revealed the where-about of the prophet. He was beaten mercilessly and confined for certain hours before being released.

10MINUTES DIALOGUE
The above was part of my paper presentation on the virtue of Imam Ali (a.s).

As expected, a typical Nasibi sheik could not controlled his jealous of Ali's incomparable virtue as he interjected: "Allah also acknowledged Abu Bakar's company with the prophet on his (prophet's) way to Yathrib!

Al-Baqir: Yes but NEVER in comparison with that of Ali. If it was so, kindly elaborate how the acknowledgment became virtue!

The Sheik: "Allah refer to Abu Bakar as the "second of the two in the cave" and as prophet's "Sahib" whereby the prophet gave solace to him saying: 'Don't be grieve! For Allah is with us".~Sura al-Tawbah vs 40.

Al-Baqir: sir, to you reference of being together with a prophet at a particular place in time is a virtue? How come the Ark of Noah contained prophet of God, Satan, hypocrites, animals and believers? The holy prophet's Mosque was definitely a better place yet it was usually a place of gathering for the prophet and Munafiq. Being together at one place is no virtue at all.
Being "Sahib (companion)" of the prophet is the same as explained above while "Don't be grieve" was a statement forbidding an act of fear and panicking of Abu Bakar. Why was he grieving while in the company of the prophet? What other honor worth dying along the best of mankind?

The Sheik: This is how you people like to turn things upside down. Do you want to tell me Abu Bakar was not acknowledged?

Al-Baqir: kindly recite the whole verse 40 of al-Tawbah perhaps my explanation might be well understood, sir!

It is crystal clear Allah sent down His serenity (saqinah) on His prophet ALONE despite the presence of the "second of the two". The Ayah says:

"...then Allah sent down on him His serenity and strengthened him with unseen forces"
~same Ayah.

On the other hands, courage, bravery among many other virtue displayed by certain believers with the prophet had always been recognized in another fashion of similar event or even more severe:

"Then Allah sent down His serenity upon His messenger and the believers, and sent down forces which you see not..."~ Sura Tawbah vs 26.

"Then Allah sent down His serenity upon His messenger and the believers, and adhered them to the word of piety"~al-Fath vs 26

In both places the believers shared the sakinah (serenity) with the holy prophet but in this event of the cave where two people were present, only the prophet (saws) was Allah sent down His serenity upon.

I am not here for hatred, but for LOVE.
Our saviour's command, "love your neigbours as yourself.
Love your enemies and pray for those who prosecute you."

Praise to the whole world for the SON OF MAN has defeated death.
Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
*For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish, but have eternal life.
*The Son of the MOST HIGH LIVING GOD.
*The Lamb of GOD, who takes away the sins of the World.
*The Ressurection and the Life.
