Report from Abia State has it that Abia State University, ABSU has joined University of Nigeria, UNN, Nsukka and the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) who declared in separate statements that educational activities in there institution are scheduled to resume on December 2, Monday. Unlike UNN and ESUT, ABSU has since 29th November, 2013 opened the school door to students and lecturers for resumption, thereby shunning the ongoing ASUU strike.
According to the report, the announcement declaring the school reopened was made on air by BCA Radio, Umuahia on November 28th.
However, there is not any reaction yet from ASUU, ABSU branch regarding this resumption, and Myschool.com.ng also gathered that there is no lecture or academic activities yet despite the resumption
