An integrated Electronics Security Firm is seeking for Head Corporate Communication

Job Summary
The Head Corporate Communication will be responsible for spearheading strategic direction initiatives and planning, coordination, and management of the company's integrated marketing, public relations, and strategic communications program. The Head Corporate Communications (HCC) will work both externally and internally to promote the field of communication. In addition, the HCC will create and communicate the organization's messages and ensure overall continuity of the organisation’s brand consistency and image. Moreover, the HCC will support the organization's staff and board in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with external organizations and funders. The HCC will also develop and implement initiatives that would serve the Organisations, and thus increase the benefit of partnering. The organisation is based in Lagos, Nigeria. Some travel may be required. The HCC reports directly to the MD/CEO of the company.

Responsibilities:

The Head Corporate Communication is responsible for the overall planning, organization, implementing and measuring the effectiveness and direction of SGL's communication strategies and public information activities as well as promoting the organisation’s communication to clients, partners and funders.
Planning: Develop the marketing business plan. Select activities that fit our marketing strategy, deliver the highest ROI, and drive profitable revenue growth. Maintain the marketing calendar and coordinate with vendors, insurance operations, and finance. Prepare for contingencies and use milestones to review performance and shift resources accordingly.
Monitor the correct and planned implementation of various marketing activities and processes.
Leadership: Lead all marketing efforts and promote a productive and fun work environment that fosters teamwork, data based decision making, and marketing excellence. Assign leads for sales targets and goals.
Execution: Deliver results based on the marketing plan, working with the marketing team members and vendors. Run A-B and multi-variant testing to optimize direct marketing. Seamlessly coordinate and communicate all activities. Work closely with IT.
Analysis: Track all marketing efforts by activity, business line, and customer segments. Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing plans and projects. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on all of the division marketing activities and the results of these activities.
Budgeting: Prepare a comprehensive annual budget to fund all recommended marketing activities. Track results (expenses and ROI) monthly, analysing variances and making changes to meet objectives. Creatively shift resources to pursue new opportunities as they arise.
Brand Management: Enforce written, visual, and virtual brand standards vigorously. Enhance our image across all channels, maintaining our values and authenticity with customers at all times. Be the liaison with representatives of media and advertising, as well as our marketing vendors.
Coordinate and manage media and public interest to generate coverage and maintain awareness
Research: Perform customer surveys, interviews, or focus groups to gather customer intelligence as necessary. Conduct industry and competitor research to refine marketing strategy. Keep current with marketing trends, innovations, communication techniques and any media regulations.
Communications: coordinate and assist in the successful implementation of a global communications strategy.
Responsible for the day to day management of corporate communications of the Company.
Provide support for the organization’s exhibitions/events, particularly with copy-writing and general organization.
Act as secondary point of liaison for the PR and other external agencies, in support of the Communications Director.
Provide information from business to PR agencies to support their activity and as well deal with the media.
Work with design agencies when appropriate to produce sales & marketing materials such as brochures, datasheets, business cards, etc.
Work with press contacts when necessary to promote the company in local and international trade/business journals.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, and Business Management required; advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in a position requiring the knowledge and application of marketing strategies and techniques.
Excellent communication skills, particularly when dealing with an international, multilingual audience
Ability to handle multiple projects under time and resource pressure
Be detail and results-oriented, and have strong knowledge of budget processes and evaluation of outcomes analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of media operations and expertise in the field of public relations and release of information for publication
Proven ability to develop communication strategies related to organizational policies in collaboration with a diverse team
Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of theories, principles and practices of communication as they relate to public information services
Knowledge of the latest advances in effective use of digital and social media for effective corporate communication, including (ideally) online communities, search engine optimization and other digital marketing tools
Good interpersonal skills
Good understanding of marketing concepts
Good project management and execution skills.
Initiative, eye for details and a team player
Resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people
Ability to work under pressure, short deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments
Experience in collateral production, marketing and PR activities, and project management are an advantage
Computer skills with proficient in MS Office applications
Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including PowerPoint skills. Comfortable presenting to Management.
Excellent analytical abilities and mathematical orientation required
Multilingual skills and added advantage.
