all4naija: First and foremost, the OP never said it is a V8.

Secondly, brand new 2014 Range Rover V8 supercharged cost $92,621 (in USA including all costs. Fright, insurance and others) that is =N= 14685059.55 (=N=14.7m) - =N=15m(your claimed amount) you have =N= 300,000. You only need little to add to that for the clearance. The shipping is not going to be more that =N=1m and the profit is supposed not to be more than =N=2m. There is bogus =N=4m rip-off. That is for the V8. That is an inflated rough estimate. Those ones on the OP images aren't even new in the first place. Those are auctioned cars for a little amount from the developed countries.

On the final note, I don't know how the shipping, clearance and the profit will amount to =N= 8.2m for the v8 you are alluding to here. That is more than 35% of the total cost of that vehicle. Huh!

I don't know why you are supporting the inflated price though.

Thank you.

Mr Oga, add little to 300k for clearance? You wan thief your car comot port abi wetin? You talk like an old woman, analysing the cost of everything because you don't want to drop money. This doesn't mean the poster isn't trying to make excess profit off the car but Clearing a brand new Premium vehicle in Nigeria could set you back between 2-4m. Go to ports and find out yourself. I remember us paying over a mil for a 2010 4runner in late 2011. That's a 4runner lasanlasan o. Not to talk of range rover.
By the way, what do u mean this one was auctioned off?

I'm not supporting his inflated price. As a matter of fact, its the Big Range Rover V8 that costs as much as N23million.

I just gave a hint so that people can independently do their calculations without hearing it directly from me.

It always amazes me how Nigerians come up with the cost for cars in the US. I wonder how you came up with the cost of brand new 2014 Range Rover Sports V8 Supercharged being $92,621. I will advise you to call any Land Rover dealer and offer him that and see if he will sell it for that price. To start with, the MRSP is between $68,000-$125,000. The low end is to entice people. It is supposed to reflect the base model and they just don't sale base models. Secondly, Land Rover does NOT discount their Range Rovers..never ever. Just to remind everyone, when you go to the internet to look up prices for cars, do not forget that in the US, there is something called Taxes. You can never evade tax in this country.
To clear a Range Rover sport 2006 model in Lagos will cost you N750,000 as of today. Be rest assured that 2014 brand new will not be anything less than N4m!! Ask any agent here on Nairaland. Attempting to cut short change customs with such an expensive car in Nigeria is inviting trouble; as it could result in seizure. To assume that the OP is making a kill from this sale is flat wrong. If you think he is; cough out that kind of money and buy a car, ship to Nigeria and sale. ..with all the risk involved. If anything happens to that car now, all the money invested is gone.
In doubt: look up Autotrader.com below for a real dealer price (***excluding taxes; both NJ and County Taxes)

Isn't it funny how your link points to Cherry Hill put-up used 2014 Range Rover V8 supercharged on sale at $125,595 by providing the buyer loan and other encouraging facilities while ripping off? This is more like what mortgages will do. Please, we are not all so silly about the base price of this vehicle which is usually in the range of $75,000 to $85,000. That OP price is inflated at =N=23.2m.

Although, I have no idea of what is collected for clearance in Nigerian ports and I know it's not going to be more than =N=1m or =N=1.5m(I doubt) for such common vehicle. The =N=4m clearance claim by you is contestable and I doubt it is fact of the matter because it is just too high for clearing a vehicle of such in anywhere in the world. I don't think Koenigsegg or Bugatti Veryon will cost that much to clear from the port. Jeez! You are over-representing this car. Nobody even sees it as a supper wheeler in many settings around developed countries.

Thank you.

There are situation where dealers auctioned vehicle at reasonable prices or owners who which to go for something better or less and want to settle part of the mortgages while having another model of vehicle.

If you don't know how much it costs to clear cars from customs there in Lagos then how can I argue with you about the price of cars in the US. For clarity, prices of cars in the US does not include financing, interests on loans or taxes. Every body's terms of loans and interest is different depending on your credit scores and other factors that come into play at time of purchase . Same is true for taxes which varies depending on which state and which county you live. What you see there in the advert by Cherry Hill Land Rover is the price of the car. Again if you don't know what's going on in Nigeria, how can I even discuss anything with you further??

What are you talking about? You presented a link that says used 2014 Range Rover V8 supercharged for $125,595 which is =N=19905551.55 and a seller wants to sell acclaimed brand new ones for =N=23.2m which is $145119.57. The =N=23.2m - =N=19.9m = =N=3.3m. Then you will have to subtract the clearance and shipment, which you claimed to be over =N=4m from =N=3.3m with a lost of =N= 700,00 without taking the shipment into account and profit. That is, selling at lost. What more can I say of such business?

Jeez! Dude, you really need to give this Cherry Hill link a break because the base price for brand new of that vehicle(2014 Range Rover V8 supercharged) is below $85,000.

Thank you.

To get this car cheap, wait for a year or 2, purchase the used V-6 version since depreciation would have set in but you'll still have a barely "ran-in" car.

You might end up with it on your doorstep for no more than N7million (That's if G.E.J doesn't increase the import tarrif).

People that drive Bentley GT coupes will never tell you how much they got it but it doesn't cost as much as you think.

On the side, I heard a guy once flew his Ferarri into Nigeria at a cost of N10 million.

Finance an expensive car, take it to Nigeria, Inflate the selling price like crazy and sell. Take the money back to america and buy 5-10 cheaper cars and keep selling them while you only pay on the initial finance. Na waa for una oh. Interesting.. Carry on

$63,495 is the base price. Price can be as high as $90,000 for top of the line depending on installed option and shipping. Let's just assume this one is top of the line (NOTE: Assume) at $90,000 = 14.2 million naira. If u add shipping and clearing it might end up at 16-17 million naira. Now when u invest 17 million naira in a business u would be thinking of 3-4 million naira profit, this justifies the 21m op is asking for. But then if its not the top of the line model, then its a rip off.
