Hello Nairalanders. I have recently tried renewing my e-passport in London last week [passport expires 15/12/2013], i completed the form online, made payments and went to the high commission in London. I was re-scanned and advised that my collection date was on the 13/12/2013.

However, just today [09/12/2013] i got a call from someone at the high commission asking me to come back for re-scanning as my fingerprints failed! I haven't heard of such before, how can your fingerprints fail? I thought that was a part of your body that remains the same all through one's existence.

Please allow my ignorance, i might be wrong. As anyone experienced this or heard of it?
