MJBOLT:These were 3D computer generated cinematic releases riding on Big budgets, hard to compete with that big downside is that there's no consistency, But with DC Animated movie you have a great line of stories of comic heroes that could literally last from your childhood to Adulthood and these stories are connected...Marvel might have the edge with live action superhero comic story telling, they are no where close to DC in live animated films. 5 Likes 1 Share |

oyaskii: You sabi good something.. If I was the chairman of Warner Bros, I would stop the straight to DVD releases and start a shared cinematic universe of big budget 3D CGI animated movies for DC. It'll be a success and it will make millions of dollars for the studio. The animations are always on point... I even prefer Assault on Arkham to the live action big budget 2016 Suicide Squad movie. 2 Likes

BlackManta: You're so on point. I've seen this animation like five times now. I was expecting the live suicide squad to be as good as this but was disappointed. I had to go back to this cartoon to console myself. Dc animations have always been good, I really like the serious tone and deep plot that characterize the animated universe . Even their animated series are also incredible, for example, the latest season of young justice has been awesome. I think DC feels going the 3d way and competing at the cinema might affect their budding cinematic universe (Spiderman: into the spiderverse proves me wrong)or perhaps they are getting enough money from the straight to DVD especially when evaluated with the low budget they put into producing their animations. Funny enough, the animated universe has massive fans. |

BlackManta: Easier said than done. While you are right in everything you said, the Chairman of Warner Bros might be scared of the risk. If a big budget movie fails, that is a lot of money gone down the drain. Again, you are right. It is just a matter of the willingness of the Chairman or his board to take the risk...... edit Take a look at "into the spiderverse"- it made 300 million dollars on a 90 million dollar budget. While profitable, it is not spectacular. Note that frozen made over a billion dollars. |
