Sony Pictures is currently in talks to get Safe House (starring Denzel Washington & Ryan Reynolds) scribe, David Guggenheim, to pen the script for Bad Boys 3, while they also try to get the lead actors of the franchise - Will Smith and Martin Lawrence alongside producer Jerry Bruckheimer back for this one.

It's unclear if director of the first two movies, Michael Bay, will also be contacted to return for this movie, one can only hope he gets a call as those movies were simply breathtaking. In addition to Bay yet to be contacted, there's the possibility that Sony might want to try and reboot this movie if they don't get the actors to commit to the project due to one factor or the other. And if that's the case i really doubt if anyone would want another Bad Boys movie without the real Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence).
