"Let's hope and pray"
Is the mantra of the present day
Anytime I pose the question
What does time tell about our future
The army burns and rapes
Religious leaders lead us astray
Politicians dumb down our pain
Arm-chair intellectuals have nothing to say
Yet we 'hope and pray'

If Europe hoped and prayed
They would be still be shackled to the dark age
Perhaps the Arabs would be zionist slaves
And asians would not have found their way
Yet we watch our system rot and decay
While we hope and pray
