The governor of Niger state Babangida Aliyu has purchased 100 Kia Rio cars at the cost of N330 Million. The cars are to be used for taxis to boost intra-city mass transit as well as provide employment for youths.
These cars was bought through the Niger State Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P).

The cars which comes at a unit cost of N3.3 Million will be given to the graduates at a subsidised rate of N2.3 Million. N60,000 will be paid monthly for a period of 36 months (3 years).

This is a good initiative as it will reduce unemployment in the state. Kudos to Governor Babangida Aliyu.

330million spent on kia cars, just to keep 100 youths underemployed! In minna of all places, Which cab driver can deliver 60k monthly after repairs, fueling, servicing, and drivers needs?? This man is still learning
