I was reading the book of Daniel and the following questions popped out. Which i tagged as jamb questions, due to the fact that they are somewhat difficult to answer. U known jamb questions is not that easy and is not a workover. The more i tried to supply answer to this complex questions the more further questions rear their ugly heads. Hence i want to invite all christians who has bible knowledge and bible scholars to do justice to them. Even those who have knowledge of bible history can also join. Without further delay, here are the questions:

1. Why did Daniel rejected the king's food-Daniel 1:8. Was the food sacrificed to idols or what?

2. Why did Daniel accepted the worship of king Nebuchadnezzar to him? Daniel 2:46.

3. Where was Daniel during the golden image episode-Daniel 3.

4. Who was the fourth man in the burning fiery furnance? Was it Jesus or angel Gabriel, michael or who? Daniel 3:25.

5. Why did Daniel interprete the handwriting on the wall which is MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN as MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PERES. Daniel 5:25-28.

6. What is the four beast in Daniel chapter seven all about?

U can answer any one you know or all of them if u choose. So let us pull our logic together to unravel these questions by God's spirit.

Many will read and take off. But dnt do that cos ur imput is very vital. Dnt fear jamb. U can conquer jamb ok. Let the show begin.

Was Jesus not in existence then? Of cos he is. He even stated that before Abraham was, he is.

Is like many people are clueless about these questions, that was why nobody wants to attempt them. It's Jamb indeed.

Daniel 1:8

8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that
he would not defile himself with the
portion of the king's meat, nor with the
wine which he drank: therefore he
requested of the prince of the eunuchs
that he might not defile himself.

The verse says "defile".

Some particular kinds of food and meat were deemed as unclean under mosaic law. Eating of which "defiles" a man.

Leviticus 11 lists them all.

Daniel chose not to eat them, even while in babylon.

Daniel 2:46-47

46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell
upon his face, and worshipped Daniel,
and commanded that they should offer
an oblation and sweet odours unto him.
47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

From verse 47, we can see that king Nebu actually intended to worship Daniel's God, not Daniel. However, being used to bowing down to physical images representing unseen gods, he erroneously tried to use Daniel as a physical representation of his God.

There is no indication that Daniel accepted this worship. He probably didn't rebuke the king directly, because he was king, while Daniel was just a captive subject.

All glory was still given to God anyway.

Nebu actually acknowledged the being was an angel in v28

Daniel 3:28

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and
said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, who hath
sent his angel, and delivered his
servants that trusted in him, and have
changed the king's word, and yielded
their bodies, that they might not serve
nor worship any god, except their own
God.

Whether it was angel gabriel, micheal, or angel lucifer(rtd. ) is irrelevant.

UPHARSIN or PHARSIN is the plural of PERES meaning division.

Thy kingdom is spilt up and divided to Medes and Persians.

the instruction was to everyone including Daniel. Read it well.

Read Daniel 3:1-3. The instruction to bow down to the image was to everyone in the province and outside the province. Why was Daniel not there?
