South Korean multinational conglomerate corporation LG has announced an exceedingly large Ultra HDTVs – An incredible 105-inch HDTV for consumers which will hit store-shelves next year.

The revelation came on Wednesday, when LG released a press statement which distinctively explains the company mammoth curved Ultra HDTV. LG 105-inch Ultra HDTV automatically became the 1st and the largest TV ever announced for the consumer market.

It is indeed a technological marvel as the Ultra HDTV called 105UB9 has 11 million pixels, and a resolution of 5120 x 2160. 11 million pixels represent a technological benchmark as it is the highest ever to be produced for any television in the world. Color leakage is prevented with the use of LG’s TFT (Thin Film Transistor). The company says whatever angle you are going to be viewing the TV; you will have a superb and superior viewing experience.



The company made no revelation of the price but you can bet it would definitely be an expensive device. LG will debut this monster to the industry on January 7, 2014 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vagas – an even which would be exclusively covered here.

On the hills of LG’s announcement, Samsung decided to steal the show by releasing a similar press statement showing a 105-inch curved HDTV also to be debuted at the CES 2014.


Samsung’s LED-lit LCD Curved Ultra HDTV will also have 11 million pixel (5120X2160) screen resolution. Samsung will be adopting the Quadmatic Picture Engine which delivers the best picture quality algorithm. The world largest consumer electronics company claims its 105-inch Ultra HDTV is the “most curved” TV to hit the earth.
