kelvindim: Salt is neutral, yeah I get....I should not have used the word acidic...what I totally mean is that it causes some deadly effect when consumed in large quantities.....Salt taken in large quantity destroys the elasticity of arteries and capilliaries just as smoking does except in a different constituent...this is the hardening of the arteries and it'll untimely cause a stroke and possibly death when an arterie eventually becomes too brittle and then breaks from the hardening effect taking place.....#just know this: in large quantities

How exactly does high salt intake cause hardening of vessels(arteries and veins) and I don't understand how it's related to smoking.
