I buy cars for families/friends and average about 4 to 5 cars per year for the last 5 years. This year started off slow, was only able to ship a Toyota sienna for my bros here. Due to the politicians/customs increase in custom fees (70% increase) that will probably take effect sometime in February i have been contacted to order 7 vehicles and ship asap. Heading back to Houston from San Antonio with this 2007 highlander. This white machine belongs to a Naija pastor hence, the white choice. Got it for $7,500 after back and forth negotiations. Dealer also has a red 2005 highlander that I might be coming back for.

I can get any ride for any Nairalander. If I have enough dollar on my side then I buy with my money here and you pay in Naira in Naija account. Due to limited dollar on my end I had them wire all cash to my U.S account.

Meanwhile dealer has accepted $6,500 on the red 2005 Highlander. Individual seller in Florida agreed to sell 2004 corolla for $4,000 plus $500 to have it shipped from Miami to Houston. Tomorrow is Christmas but I will be heading back to San Antonio to pick up the 2005 Highlander. 3 down (07 highlander, 05 highlander and 04 corolla) 4 more to go. Will upload pics later.

Arrived with the red 2005 highlander. Both 2005 and 2007 highlanders are in my custody and looking good in my garage. 2004 corolla will be picked up by shipper tomorrow and hopefully arrive withing 3 days.

I'm already looking at a 2008 highlander and will start negotiations from tomorrow.

White 2007 highlander is "fully loaded" and ready to head to shipper, this one will be consolidated in a container. Need to make space for 2008 highlander that might be rolling in hopefully tomorrow. So far on this 2007 highlander, purchase cost $7,500, shipping $1,500. Clearing is pending but will be paid by owner of vehicle on arrival to Lagos.

Cost for 2008 highlander - $13,850. Slightly above my price range but the DVD in it sealed the deal for me. Will update pics tomorrow after inspection and pick up.

Its almost 9am Texas time, will try to drop off the 2007 highlander and head for the 2008.

This is the 2008 highlander, dealer got this vehicle from an auction and never knew it has a backup cam.

inspection

As soon as dealer found out about the backup cam i quickly made payment. Backup camera did have some error messages so most of my time was spent driving around trying to find an audio store to fix it.

Finally found an Audio store and waited several minutes with my fingers crossed. Just in case ur wondering, that Lexus in the pic below is for sale.

90mins later, it was fixed for $40. They are expecting me to come back for the Lexus hence, the cheap fix for the backup camera.

Dealer does have a 2006 4runner with 3rd roll seat. Price is way over budget but i'm still negotiating. Will resume work tomorrow but i promised dealer i will be back on Tuesday to negotiate further on this 4runner.

I had to test drive both vehicles. This 4runner might be next.

After much stress, i had to settle for a double cheese burger before heading back home with the newly purchased highlander. This burger has already digested.

Home, sweet home. Will get this machine lucked up in the garage later. Let me get some sleep. 4 down, 3 more to go.
