Mrs Okonjo-iweala was on TV couple of weeks back giving reasons why we should believe the government has done tremendously well in combating unemployment in Nigeria. She mentioned that the You win programme and the sure-P has created jobs for so many unemployed Nigerians.
In 2013 the National Bureau of statistics were also very proud to publish a breakdown of the number of jobs created in 2012
1)Formal sector-152,018
2)Informal Sector-208,920
3)Public Sector-24,975
Simply mathematics show that the addition of all the jobs created when subtracted from the total number of the alleged unemployed graduates, the result showed that absolutely nothing have been done considering the 9 more public universities created, the number of private universities, poly's,colleges of education not to forget the number of corpers that pass out every quarter of every year!
**** To the JOKE of today******
Solving this problem now is a two way thing its either we all join the Association of Nigerian graduates Against Unemployment(A.K.A NAUG/naijagradutes)
Or we all go in groups to the nearest police station and surrender ourselves to be arrested and locked up for been jobless- this will go along way in curbing various social crimes like armed robbery, kidnapping, prostitution, yahooyahoo etc
Our prisons and correctional facilities are not sufficient even for our criminals, and sure when forty-million Nigerians join them the government would wake up from her slumber.
