Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has survived a motor accident at Ewu Village, along the ever busy Benin-Auchi Road in Edo State on Saturday, December 28, 2013.

The incident occurred at about 9.45am at Ewu, in Edo Central Senatorial District, when a Peugeot J5 Bus filled with tomatoes and plantain apparently lost control and rammed into the Governor’s Flag Car from the opposite direction before swerving into a road side ditch.

Three vehicles in the Governor’s convoy were in front of the Governor’s Flag Car and had passed the Peugeot J5 Bus before it [J5 Bus] had direct impact with the Governor’s Car which had the Governor, his Aide-De-Camp [ADC] and his Driver as occupants.

The Governor’s Car was badly affected but the good story is that nobody sustained injuries among occupants of the Peugeot J5 Bus and that of the Governor’s.

The Peugeot J5 Bus was following a truck that was descending the Ewu Slope when it suddenly veered off into the Governor’s lane from the opposite direction and directly impacted on the Governor’s vehicle, apparently because of brake failure.

The Comrade Governor is hale and hearty, his ADC and other occupants of the Peugeot J5 are also in good condition.

My friend can u shot ur mouth up please. You are far away in America saying what you dnt know. Anybody that passes that road or that very part of that road will know how careful he or she have to drive through there because of the construction going on there. Naturally that road has been that way for long now. There is no time one passes through that spot between Ewu and school gate that you don't meet 2 - 3 road accident on that road even i find it a miracle to pass through that axis and not come across 1 accident on it. The road is so narrow that when driving on it care has to be implore. I strongly believe it was carelessness on the part of the drivers, the J5 driver and from the governor's side too.

am happy for edo state gov becos its a taboo for gov of a state to din in auto accident. Am happy for him
