The commom pattern now is to assemble thugs and ex-convicts, give them training in weapon handling, provide them with uniform and state recognition, use them for political oppression and elections. Thereafter, they fall out with the governor or his successor who later branded as terrorists. They go back to re-group and unleash more havoc on the citizens. The FG becomes angry, declare state of emergency and orders shoot at sight; forgetting that he granted the governor the permission to set up the taskforce ! This is exactly how boko haram started, so I oppose any form of armed vigilante in the north. 5 Likes |

This could be the long awaited recipe for chaos. Now Kano State can invite the Taliban to train the Hisbas of Kano. The OPC & Afenifere can also do the same. Welcome to Hell |

Many States such as kano, zamfara, have already implemented this measure to checkmate security challenges since the police can not adequately protect the rural dwellers from incessant attacks, i wonder what took Plateau so long to provide its indigenes with security. 3 Likes |

They said No to state police yet goes behind to establish state police indirectly. Let Governor Amaechi establish something like this now every Nigerian will open his/her mouth to talk. What our so called leaders refused to understand is that, there is no going back on democracy and true federalism in nigeria if we must survive as a nation. Just like what the former president of the USA, Bill Clinton said that " globalisation is irresistable". So is state police and true federalism in Nigeria 3 Likes |

icon aus: Good move Jang - you cant fold your hands hausa/fulani continues to slaughter your people in your own back yard 1. Jang played a dirty role in the Jos crisis by trying to chase Hausa/Fulani out of Jos, now the repercussion is affecting him, devise any means you have, for your information I am currently negotiating with a Beromite to buy a land in Du in fact close to you, I beg you to please Go and Die Jang! https://www.nairaland.com/762425/wikileaks-gov-jang-lagely-responsible 2. It is better you kill a Fulani than to steal his cow, most of these Beromites are cattle rustlers, so these Fulani's come back to take their cattle or to deal with thieves who stole their cattle, imagine a birom man with 50 cattle where did he get all those 3. Jang go and die as the assasins you are training will not drive away the Hausa/Fulani in the state. We are ever ready for you. Bas.tard! If you are down with Jang fvck you too! ...Go and die! 1 Like |

It is Plateau state today, but give a few months and we'll be back here discussing a new paramilitary outfit - instituted in a different state.
