They had, the best debut-performances, won countless Grammys, topped charts
But there's one thing these people don't know; WHEN TO QUIT!!!
At least, Rock and R'n'B artists know when to start headlining concerts and stop releasing albums e.g Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, Celine Dion etal

Out of respect, critics go soft on them in these final days, but the truth is, people are tired
The old rappers take the bulk of th blame, just look at LL Cool J, he's 40, no dress sense, and still says he's releasing two more
Benzino, merked by Eminem, lost his job, his last album sold 20,000 wiv all the Em publicity, he came in an interview to say we should expect his next album

Seriously, why can't they leave us with the memories of the golden age and not one crap 2007 album that drops to £1 bin in one week?
Why can't they leave us with out old records and vinyl discs?
They need to bow when the applause is loudest . . . sometimes I see a good side to the death of Pac, Biggie and Big L
We never got to see them release 8 Diagrams when we're still feenin Wutang Forever

I think P Diddy needs to quit, so do many other ones that have gone too far below their prime

What rappers/singers do you think need to quit?

True talk kizzymack, that dude needs to face what he's best good at - business. Retiring then all that comeback shit is unecessary, dude should have kept to his word. And them albums after Black Album were damn wack

Snoop Dogg - the song and video "Sensual Seduction" was like the last straw. Man, quit it!

LL Cool J
Rkelly

Hahahaha @eldee, I totally agree with you on that LL cool j stuff, I think he's metrosexual. Did u see his new video 'baby' ??or sumn like that. Daag! He was over-doing it and I think he wore lip gloss.

Hey! wordsmith, what's up??

Aww, I still think jigga is aiight. I mean, he's old, don't get me wrong but he's mad sophisticated with his shit. You don't hear him saying all these '20-yr old' stuff in his song like when he was younger but these other people simply refuse to mature with age.

I also agree about R.kelly and Snoop Dogg.

So this is my list:

LL cool j
Snoop Dogg
R.kelly
Master. P(that song 'my life' did it!)

That's exactly what made me start this thread
His lyrics are sloppy, at his age he's still dressing like Lil Wayne
He needs to admit that his hey-days are gone, let him settle down, stop releasing albums and get a freaking suit cheesy

C'mon Hov seriously needs to retire to hold on to the level he's placed himself
After he reached his peak, released Moment of Clarity to explain what's what, what happened to Grand openin, grand closin?

owolomo:

@EL DEE
I AGREE W/ YA BUT DIDDY IS MORE OF A BUSINESS MAN,
Businessman? doing that wack dance with Keisha Cole and Nicole is business?
Nah . . . the dude's past his prime, he's hitting new lows all the time
That's why he needs a million and one collabos on each of his albums

@Wordsmith, yea, I been busy with work and other stuff. How's Po Deep??

@eldee, maybe you're right. I just hate to admit it. Each time my sister hears him, she goes 'this dude should go and rest, he's too old'. Lol, I guess everybody doesn't feel jigga no more except me.

@topic
I forgot to add Diddy, but then he's always been wack to me. Since '94 or whenever he started rapping.

Busta Rhymes too.
Re: The Curtain Call: Artists That Have Outlived The Applause by nosa101(f): 9:06pm On Aug 06, 2008
whoever ghostwrote diddy's verse on trade it all remix deserves an award. That verse gave diddy 5 years worth of credibility when i heard that song
