As i said in every thread like this. You have to target the mentality of the citizens. If the PEOPLE don't think they can do better, then nothing will change. When people finally lose the mentality of "You don't do nothing for me, then im not doing anything for you." When we relieve ourselves with this selfish mental state, then Nigeria will have a fighting chance. When people stop waiting for some White Knight to come and rescue them, we can do something. Let say a person sees how horrible the roads are around them. Instead of waiting for some else to do something or the gov't, they raise funds and fix it themselves. We will raise money for hospitals and libraries, lets' put roads and better schools in the equation. But instead we will complain and sit around eating kola nut with our friends then do anything. Look at the civil rights movements. In order for the blacks to see a better life, they first went to their mentality. They let them know that they are better than these white people are treating them. They are better then what these white people are telling them. When the blacks understood that, that is when change came. That is when they started to protest, pressure the gov't seek change. And change happened. And also they understood that it is not up to the leaders but up to the people. It is the people who make changes not the leaders. The leaders guide them in the right direction while the people put in the work. Back to the Civil Rights Movement, with the bus boycott. Martin Luther King GUIDED the people in not riding those racist buses. But it was the PEOPLE who put it in action. Until finally the gov't said it was unlawful to discriminate on the buses. Another example is the army. The Captains give the orders while the TROOPS are the ones who go out and complete those missions. If we Nigeria as a whole don't do something about this county, it shall cease to exist.

The bible says that every individual will be judged on the final Day of Judgment. Leaders of private or governmental and non-governmental organizations will also be judged. Nations will be judged too.

I made bold to say that most Nigerian leaders will not be found in the book of life for the fact that they are circumventing the plan and purpose of God for the Nigerian nation and her citizens.

The Americans will say or pray that God bless America and I will say that God has blessed Nigeria since a long time ago and the blessing in terms of human and natural resources has continued to increase daily.

Our problems of inadequate Foods, Shelter, Healthcare, Power supply and so on are being deliberately caused by few individuals who are not up to 10% of our population. They impose themselves on us, loot our treasuries and natural resources, cause massive unemployment/brain drain in our country and created situations where workers take home pay is never enough to take them home and make policies that strangulate would be or existing entrepreneurs who are not in their criminal cabals.

A Senator recently told viewers on a television programme how some people are stealing our grains from the national grains reserve and selling them within and outside Nigeria.

Nigeria is destined to be number one in the world in terms of human and natural resources. You will find Nigerian Scientist, Doctors, Computer Programmers, Aeronautic Engineers, Nuclear Physicists and so on excelling in major countries all over the world.

We can not feed ourselves and yet we proclaim that we are the giant of Africa. Sinners should repent and ask for the Lord’s mercy and the healing of our land.

this is the true reason why Nigeria is in a terrible state. we believe the problem is from our leaders. Our entire society is corrupt. . .totally, absolutely corrupt.

right from the Market woman that uses the bottom of the tin to measure rice, to the butcher that adjusts his scales, to the builder that uses poor materials, to the guy who sells fake drugs, to the 419 guys in cafes, to the 70% of nairalanders that insist they would do everything possible to avoid paying taxes. All are canker worms steadily chipping away at the foundation and strength of the country.

Nigeria's like a great tree, and we're all woodpeckers slowly chipping away at the tree. Our leaders may have bigger and more powerful beaks, but most of us citizens are up there with the villains, steadily chipping away at our nation.

Until we realize this and ALL start doing positive stuff, we'll keep going steadily downhill.

cos the giant is too tall to bend and pick the berry, so the dwarfs are closer to the ground and could pick and hand it over to the giant.
