Guess how old she is? The other question would only be correct if you said "How old is she?" |

"Guess how old she is" shouldn't have a question mark. |

Both are correct depending on the voice tone and punctuation marks. You either say "Guess how old she is" as a statement or Guess[b],[/b]how old is she?" The comma in the second indicates a pause and so a change in intonation and stress. Stress will be on the word "Guess" in the second one. And yes, like Mactao said, the first will not have a question mark, it's just a statement, the second will have a pause after "Guess" and a question mark. That leads you on how to intone the two sentences. |
