The first night of 2014 also brought with it the first lunar phenomenon of the year: a new moon that’s also a supermoon. It’s one of two supermoons in January (the other is January 30) and one of five for the whole year.

It's the first day of the year, a time when we remember the year that's past, make resolutions, plan for the year ahead, and just have fun! Different people have said a lot about the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and as the day draws to a close a lot of tired bodies retire to their domain after a presumed fun filled day.

I spent the eve at church, same as over 70percent of Nigerians, thereafter had a phone conversation with some family and friends and then dozed off till 10a.m. Spent the rest of the day with my family and later on some friends. And now I'm back to the NL family. Lol.
