NLders, like they said 2 heads are better than 1.On a faithful day i slumped in my bedroom,when i got to the pharmacy i explained everything to the attendant, then he carried out a blood pressure test on me and told me that my result was too high for my age. Am 19years of age & am having a high blood pressure of 145/86.. Please NLders any help on what to do to reduce it cause i know am not a thinker, i don't think

Dis is serious, are u traumatised in anyway? Or wat av u been tinkin of?

Maybe you are eating or drinking something that is causing it, and it could also be that you stress your self just too much.....and its like hypertension is hereditary

My simple opinion!

The pharmacist is perfectly capable of taking a blood pressure reading but you should still see a physician for a definite diagnosis. If you truly have high blood pressure, the physician should start you on an ACE inhibitor like lisinopril.

High blood pressure is no joke. You may not normally feel any symptoms for a long time, but the strain on your blood vessels can eventually lead to disease of the brain (stroke), kidney (failure), eyes (blindness), and heart (failure).
