Stop Our Men From Decamping To APC; Akpabio Begs Tambuwal by ojowizzy: 8:38am On Jan 07, 2014
Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom has
appealed to the Speaker of the House of Reps,
Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, to stop further defection
of members of Peoples Democratic Party in the
National Assembly to the leading opposition party,
the APC.
In his words: “You must do everything humanly
possible to avoid further defection of PDP
members in the National Assembly . Even those
that have defected, we want to implore you to do
your best to convince them to come back because
the umbrella is not torn. The umbrella can
accommodate them and can still cover them very
well.”
In his reaction, Tambuwal simply told Akpabio that
he was in the state to discuss national issues.
It will be recalled that 37 members of the House
of Representatives elected on the platform of PDP
had last month defected to the All Progressives
Congress, giving the opposition a simple majority
in the House.
But Akpabio asked the Speaker to help convince
the defectors to return to the party. Akpabio’s
position was contained in a statement issued after
Tambuwal paid him a courtesy visit in Uyo on
Monday.
Nigeriaonpoint.Com gathered all efforts by
Akpabio to drag Tambuwal into political
discussions during his visit to the state was
politely turned down.

Is this not the same Akpabio who said "anybody who wanted to leave PDP should leave"? Why is he now begging? That's how he would continue to beg, till we sweep Jonathan out of Aso Rock.

This same akpabio that was ranting that anybody that wants to leave PDP should not hesitate is now beging like a dog? Sometimes a supposed matured man will allow his emotions to cloud his thinking.

This is just a soft-landing for those who desire to return to the PDP, on the grounds that Akpabio has begged them.

If it wasnt this stewpid democracy we practice in this country this Akpabio should be doing gardener and cook job in VI and sleeping in boy's quarter.

He has no style, no self respect, no grace, wholly unsophisticated. Shame on Akwa Ibom for voting an ex ejika ni tailor for Governor. angry

He wasn't "Appearing weak to make the enemies drop their guard" when he was bragging that "any politician that wants to leave should leave".

Its one of the 48 laws of power to use surrender as a weapon of success, its best to appear as an underdog and overwhelm your enemies at the right time. At the moment, we do not really care about political parties since most APC members are now former PDP looters, the political chromatography has separated the systemic coloration, in the end, the masses will vote a GEJite instead of a Tinubull.

According to Yoruba dictionary, a bastard is a person, animal, place or thing that cannot stand by his/its own words - Akpabio is a good example.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision.

Akpabio isn't the one begging Mr Speaker. He's just a messenger. Mr President is the one doing the begging.

Since rumour about the 42 members of reps who would likely decamp to APC has been going around, the game has changed and Mr President has become jittery. But the coast is not clear yet for Tambuwal as he's yet to take a public stand and declare for APC. He doesnt want to be used and dumped and clearly knows how funny politics can be.

All in all, when Mr President is ready to make peace with other members of the party, he would first of all give Amaechi what he cunningly snatched away from him. Secondly, he would respect the stance of party members in the scheme of things. Else, Mr President would be impeached.......and bombs would go off as we had it in 2010 and now in Rivers High Court. no be me talk am o
