this is someone story not me..ooo lol
i am a police officer. I want to ask you a simple
question.
This happened to me one day on a checkpoint. I
was on duty, performing the usual stop and search
operation. I stopped a fairly-tinted Toyota Camry
and ordered the occupant out. The driver
introduced himself as a medical doctor and said
the lady with him was his wife.
I asked him if I could see his car boot. He started
abusing me and even threatened to call my
superior officer and say that I was harrassing him.
After much argument, the man opened the trunk. I
searched the boot and found two sacks of indian
hemp and some cocaine there.
By then, my superior was already at the scene.
Immediately after I made the discovery, the young
man started pleading with me, offering us some
money if we cover the matter. We refused and took
him straight to the state Criminal Investigation
Department, so that he would be investigated and
prosecuted. His wife was later released, as the
suspect confessed she had nothing to do with the
drugs in the car.
The problem is that he was sacked from work, and
his wife and children are now going through
hardship to survive. She calls my commander
almost every day asking for help.
I know I did the right thing as a police officer. But
I am disturbed because I see what his wife and
children are going through. Sometimes, people
(and even my fellow policemen) tell me that I am a
bad person, that I should have accepted the money
to save his career and family. I don't even know
what to think.
Do you think my action was right? Thank you

Yes.

Do you know how many families have been rendered useless due to drug use of the benefactor or even murder of a family member by a drug-addict armed robber?

If he was a doctor, he should have been okay with what God has provided for him.
