I bought a 1996 Nissan Almera and i noticed that the car door opens on its own when it is locked.There is a red light that flashes on and off in the car.
Please what could be the cause and i will be happy to know if i can find a mechanic in PH that can fix it.

Do you have a remote for your car , I mean keyless entry? If so dont u think somebody might be messing with your remote or duplicate remote.With the remote/ keyless entry u can open your car lock om a reasonable distance.Otherwise.it might be your vehicle just have an outright electrical problem.I tell you, u dont need a mechanic to fix that, u need someone well versed in motor vehicle electical side.
The red light that flashes- I believe shows the vehicle is equipped with anti-theft.Goodluck buddy!

lose the battery contact and fix it again. See if it is solved

I did not word it correctly but in a nutshell the door unlocks itself minutes after locking it . Please gurus help?

is it a central lock type, if so, the central lock wire is having short circuit some where.

Yes it has a central lock.

Sounds like a faulty door actuator, or control module.

It could also be faulty wiring.

I think its a short circuit in wiring you might find it damaged/frayed when you look at the door wiring see this link

Your actuator is being triggerred by a by something that could be a damaged circuit or water in your actuator,
Use a philips screw driver to remove the screw in the module pul it out and check for frays

Update, The car does not even lock again but i will see an electrician on weekend.
