Why in the world you give your password/username including your pertinent personal information to ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW stealing your valuable information on your email program?

It is called IDENTITY THEFT! Go google for more details!

You now LEARNED THE LESSON! You can't retrieve the lost mail, but you can change your username/password on your account profile!

How did your friend get your details? Do you share a computer, with a keylogger installed by him? Is your password predictable?

I do not know anyway to get around this other than contacting the mail service provider. Depending on the providers, you may be asked to provide certain information.

If that don't work, like uspry1 said, you can't get the mail back! Just create a new mail and try to get in-touch with your contacts on the change as soon as possible.
