I am curious.

Not being a muslim myself, I am curious to know f Muslims in Nigeria have any special foods thath they eat during Ramadan?

and at Eid do you go back to the sameold soups or are there any special meals that you prepare?

hi. there are no special recipes. life goes on just like before. it is just that in nigeria, people (muslims in this case) do not feed well until during ramadan, when they start to eat fruits and vegetables. even in my house, the same thing holds. i am highly flattered by your curiosity

one of my coworkers (muslim) from Palestine said halal (sp) food is good. He recommend where to get the food. I buy halal food from some folks from Turkey and my brother eat that after the break along with what i cook (if he sees it fit to eat). cheesy

There is shorba (soup) it can be made in various different ways. Thats the soup you woudl break your fast with but first u would take a date and some milk. This is general middle eastern ramadan soup but it varies. I don't make them anymore. I would have thought northerners had similar??

There is also boreg basically like spring rolls/filo pastry/samosa style with any meats and veg of your choice.
