i got ur point. but if we say talib is a better rapper than Weezy, then we might say he is better than jay z. because Jigga himself admitted to Talib being a better rapper(lyricist). Personally, i don't think being the best rapper alive is all about rap prowess, lyrics mastery and story telling, i think its about sales and popularity. definitely, numbers dont lie - do they?.

One thing he knows how to do is making the shittest stuff sound good.

And album sales dont make you great lyrically there are many many underground MC's such as

Phonte (Little Brother),

Even people who are considered mainstream but are less known with recent albums that would DESTROY him on the mic like

Method Man,
Ghostface, even Rakim has been puttin out songs recently,

use ur head and get my point. i never said Weezy is the best lyricist alive 4 God's sake(Jay z is not better, lyrically than Talib, but he is still considered a better rapper than Talib). Weezy cant stand b4 rappers like Cannibus, Killa priest, Common even LL. Wat am saying is that this guy knows ow to make hits and sell albums, and of course ow else do you rate a rapper who is not underground?. If this guy is not good, he wont be selling records like this. he has been there since the hotboiz days and so he is not a flash in the pan( Ask M C's like Chingyand Mims wat i mean)
