I live in the UK and I'm Nigerian but my boyfriend is not.
We have been joking a couple of times but now it has become serious.
He keeps making fun of the fact that Nigerians are mainly known for fraud (419).
I used to laugh about it and say anything worth doing is worth doing well.
I do not believe in generalizing but I am trying to make a list of Nigerians that have acheived something good and made valuable contribution to this world.
I came up with Wole Soyinka as nobel prize winner, Chinua Achebe as world reknown african novelist and critic and Ngozi Adichie also who won the orange prize for writer.
But I need more name in any field chemistry, business, politics, entertainment,
I need to prove to him we are a nation of distinguished brains if we want to.
