hi.

you ve got to have faith. I studied geology in naija but currently working as a defence consultant with NASA in the US. If its something you love like i do its a great profession to be in. Everyday i now cherish God for his creations when i see pictures comming from planet mars from NASA mars Rover and Lander streaming to my office in the morning.

You will be amazed at the type of geologic structures there. you might start wondering if there are humans living there. From indications there is water but in frozen form. what happens when God command the planet to warm like the earth. you will expect micro organism including animals and human frozen spring up like mush rooms.

My brother keep the faith. check the oil sector, you can even go private by looking at soild mineral sector like rock quarrying for constructions, geotechnical consulting and so on.

You possibilities are endless.

Other options

Your first job may be unrelated to your chosen career, but you can still use your time effectively in order to gain experience for your longer-term career aims. Summer placements, paid or unpaid, are particularly useful for entering specialisms such as seismology, geoscience and geophysics.

Also consider evening classes, doing an IT course, learning a new language, arranging some work shadowing or work experience and volunteering. Employers will really value the commitment and initiative you have shown to move your career forward.

Although some of the jobs listed here might not be first jobs for many graduates, they are among the many realistic possibilities with your degree, provided you can demonstrate you have the attributes employers are looking for. It's also worth noting that many graduate vacancies don't specify particular degree disciplines, so don't restrict your thinking to the jobs listed here.

Prospectus: Geology

G'Luck!!!
