'what is wrong?' mrs smith cries - 'you are hiding something from me. what

'there is nothing actually wrong with your baby, mrs smith, but it is a
hermaphrodite'.

'what does that mean? is it going to die?' panicked the new mum.

'no', said the surgeon, 'as i have said, the baby is perfectly healthy. it
is just that it has the sexual characteristics of both boy and girl.'

'blimey!' said mrs smith. 'you mean it's got testicles and a brain?
