Why do we eat together? It's all about trust! So stop thinking it is laziness to do the dishes or lack of money to buy more dishes  grin

sarcasm aside

sisikill, trust?
what's the correlation between trust and eating together?  you could argue that eating together is actually a display of distrust which stems from a suspicion that someone in the group is out to poison the rest.

First of all, How the heck are ya? Where have you been?

Have you ever collected a bottle of water from a friend, drank from it without wiping the top off? It's very much like that.

The psychology behind it is this. . . one would be hard pressed to do harm to someone he's eat and drank with. Is that always the case? As far as I've experienced. . . yes. So next time a Hausa person asks to eat with him from the same plate, be honored.  grin grin

Forgot to add this. . . the gesture is coming from the offerer not the offeree, so you who are the one being invited to eat have nothing to lose, no? Why would he want to poison you and still eat from the same plate?

It's not that complicated, Hausas are simple folks. . . they either trust you or they don't. No corner, corner, wuru wuru, under G moves about them

This Fati looks like someone I've met before. Is she Yoruba, and is one of her half-sisters a doctor?

dad an Imam (or something similar)?

Now can someone explain to me why Northern Nigerian music has more similarities
with that of the Horn of Africa especially Ethiopia than it does with close neighbours
like Mali or Niger. angry angry angry What's with the synthesizer na sad

But the architecture is quite stunning especially those palaces.

So Sisikill, which tribe you be sef?

I'm good! Reaching for the stars, steadily climbing those lofty ass heights, and purusing my most important goals.

I didn't really care much for an explanation.  I asked the question out of boredom. Thanks anyway. . .
p.s.: Even if the gesture is coming from the offerer, the deed could be a bad one.  Haven't you seen those carefully crafted poison schemes in Naija films where the couples dined together but the wife managed to successfully kill her husband through poisoning his food?  there's only so much for trust i tell ya.  God is our only safety.

Her full name is Fati Mohammed, a divorcee before she went into acting;Bborn into a poor family in Kano. After some years in the film industry she married a Kano business man based in London. After the marriage she moved to London with her husband were she stayed with him for about 3 years. However, the marriage did not last as it ended in a bitter divorce. Thereafter Fati returned back to the movie industry where she continued what she knows best.
