All of you posted to Abia should come with a very thick sweat shirt and a very lite hand fan Sweat shirt/sweater for d almighty cold in d wee hours and handfan for d afternoon sun. D two na die. And be prepared to wake up as early as 3am. Sleep is now a luxury except on Sundays cos there's no parade. The camp is cool and the soldiers are friendly. Come with mufti if you can... You will be allowed to wear it on Sundays from morning till 2pm. Water na another war for here. All in all, ur going to enjoy it. Congrats on your postings y'all.

I ate at d kitchen twice since i got here. There food is nothing to write home about. There are no sockets in d hostel. Its either you parley with the laundry guys so u can go to their side to charge or you pay #50 to charge at mammi. Come with enough cash though...if you want to enjoy ds hood. Cheers

Graduation is enough reason for an exeat. Just come with a bulletin stating wen graduation/convocation will hold. You will get a minimum of 3days n maximum of 7days. Cheers

Try get ur hospital card and drug prescription. Also av enough info abt d ailment u ar claimin cos Dos doctor go question u 4 camp.

Its not a must you get bus coming straight to camp. Take Umuahia from Ifesinachi at Coca Cola, Mokola. Let them drop you at Isi-gate or Cooperative at Umuahia. You will get a bus going to Igbeere at either Cooperative or the Isi-gate. You will tell d bus driver ur going to nysc camp @ Umunna Bende. Its #300. They will drop you at d junction. You can walk or take a #50/#100 bike to camp from d junction but its trek able really. Thats how those pple that came here by road did it. Please do not forget your sweater. Cheers
