GOV. AMAECHI AS APC’S SPIN DOCTOR.

Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is gradually gaining notoriety as the new Mr. Fix it in the All Progressives Congress.

It appears the Rivers State Governor was specifically recruited by the party to attend to all crises points that would threaten the party’s interest in any part of the country. In recent times, the Governor’s itinerary has involved junketing around the country, visiting flash points where the interests of some members or friends of the party are threatened.

That could explain Amaechi’s presence in Kano during the problematic installation of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the controversial ex-Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria as the new Emir of Kano and also Amaechi’s numerous trips to Ekiti on the eve of the just concluded gubernatorial election in that state.

It would be recalled that Governor Rotimi Amaechi ran into trouble with the Aviation authorities during one of such visits to the south west leading to the grounding of the aircraft that conveyed him.

What is it that has made the Rivers State Governor “a busy body”, to borrow a local appellation?

The answer is not far- fetched as Mr Amaechi is said to be very desperate in search of relevance in the next dispensation. This desperation has led him to do anything he could to influence the party machinery to accept his biddings and that includes the splashing of billions of naira belong to the deprived people of Rivers State.

The man who could not brook any opposition or divergent views from within his domain could not listen to any sane voice that would tell him that he left the Peoples Democratic Party because of his bloated ambition of picking the Vice Presidential ticket of the APC as running mate to any of the following:

Abubakar Atiku;

Rabiu Kwakwanso;

Mohammed Buhari;

Babangida Aliyu.

However, despite the assurances and deceit by leading figures in that party who are beneficiaries of their victim’s profligacy, Amaechi lost out in that bid as the party has cleverly zoned the Presidency and the running mate to the North West and the South West respectively where both Buhari and Asiwaju Tinubu are assured of the tickets.

Amaechi lost it all in the recent congress of the party a few weeks ago when the much taunted chairmanship of the party eluded his cronies he had invested so much on, hoping to have a foot hold on the party with the huge amount he had spent in hosting and sponsoring its activities.

He came back with a position that is equivalent to a glorified office clerk otherwise known as Assistant National Secretary placed in the hand of one of his foot soldiers.

Governor Amaechi has refused to see the hand writing on the wall that he had been deceived to jump into the All Progressives Congress because of “his money” and not because of the love the party or its members has for him.

Indeed, it is being speculated that his aborted trip to Ekiti on the eve of the election was made difficult by a dissident faction of the party that was not comfortable with his prodigal pervasity, showing off with hard currency.

To confirm the above assertion, it is the belief of some pundits that Amaechi’s inability to gain entry into Ekiti on that fateful day could be one of the reasons why Fayemi failed.

Read what Mohammed Haruna had to say in his People and Politics column in the Nation of Wesnesday,25th June, 2014:

“However, if Senator Shaibu was wrong to blame INEC for his party.s defeat, he was right , at least partially, to attribute the defeat to the Federal Government’s gross abuse of its might to intimidate and harass both local and outside APC chieftains , notably, the Governors of Rivers and Edo,Rotimi Amaechi and Adams Oshomole, ahead of the elections....”

The HARDBALL column in the same edition of the paper exhibited so much concern that Amaechi was not allowed into Ekiti.

That was how the Rivers State Governor became a big factor in the Ekiti elections, far away from Rivers State.

The latent explanation was that it was difficult for Amaechi to deliver his contribution (cash in billions) that could lubricate or facilitate the hands of the voters to look at Fayemi’s way.

It would be necessary to ask why Governor Amaechi is playing the prodigal son, showing off with so much money elsewhere when he has left so many things undone in Rivers State.

A few days ago, Health workers in the state threatened to embark on industrial action following the failure to pay their salaries.

The newly employed teachers in the state are yet to receive about eight months arrears of salaries since they were recruited.

Many contractors are being owed for their services.

The state is owing several banks for a back log of loans Amaechi has sourced from them for various inexplicable reasons.

Nothing seems to be working in the state, yet our Governor is junketing around the country looking for where to sow seeds of discord against President Jonathan and the Federal Government.

He has locked up the legislature in his lunch room;

He has equally locked up the judiciary and placed it in a limbo;

The State Executive Council is equally locked up in his travelling bags.

He has become a trinity of a sort:

AMAECHI THE EXECUTIVE;

AMAECHI THE LEGISLATURE;

AMAECHI THE JUDICIARY.

That is the fate of Rivers State.

It's nothing to be surprised about. AmaFOOL is nothing but a circus clown whose strings are being pulled by the puppet masters (Tinubu and Buhari). He revelling in his self-created fantasy of challenging the status quo, not knowing the supporters of APC are giving the dog (him) a bad name so that they can hang him at the appointed time.

He left his governance duties to be junketing from one state to another earning unwarranted insults on his pathetic reputation. I can't wait to see the supporters of APC rinse him and leave him to dry when they no longer his services. What an imbecíle!!

The name Amaechi sends chills down the spine of GEJ and Jonathanians....

Keep fooling urselves here on Nairaland as at this morning Saturday 28th of June 2014, PDP sent a high powered emissar(ies) to still plead with Amaechi to a least seize fire and work with GEJ in 2015 and in return he (Amaechi) will be allowed to produce his successor (but must be of Ijaw extraction). They claim GEJ doesn't intend to wrestle power and PDP state machinery from the strong grip of Wike so as not have PDP go into battle divided as the Presidential elections come up first.

Neva allow politicians fool you, its all about them and their stomach....

(Don't ask me for source but u can take what i have just told you to the bank.....)
