Lagos - Nigeria is among the
24 worst countries in the
world for workers, a new
survey by the Geneva- based
International Trade Union
Confederation (ITUC) has revealed.
The survey titled: Global Rights
Index: The world’s worst
countries for workers was
carried out in 139 countries,
reports New Telegraph. Other countries tagged as one
of the worst countries for
workers include India, China,
Qatar, United Arab Emirates,
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia
and Bangladesh In arriving at the final report,
the survey assessed workers’
rights on 97 indicators,
including the ability to join
unions, organise strikes,
freedom from violent conditions and access to legal
